🎍 Deutsche Bahn First Class Benefits
I'm a frequent traveler on Deutsche Bahn - for business, almost every week. Here are my findings: 1st class: Seats are about one inch wider and you get your own arm rest vs. the shared arm rest in 2nd class. There is more space for your luggage (actually there is almost none in 2nd class as it's always packed).
Our first stop is “München Hbf” – Munich at 15:18 at “Pl.25” – Platform 25. Then, we have 10 minutes to get to Platform 15, which leaves at 15:28 on the “ICE 514” train. On the following page, you’ll find offers that include cancellation options, seating, or collecting Bahn points.

You Gotta Have Class! European trains are divided into first and second class. Look for a large 1 or 2 label on the car near the door. Some special trains (EC, IC, ICE, etc.) used to have a surcharge (Zuschlag) added to the price of the ticket, whether it was first or second class. Today all charges are just included in the ticket price.
Over the course of the next week (until November 15), Deutsche Bahn will release 1 million extra super saver tickets for customers. Bahn Comfort status is awarded to people that hold a BahnCard 100 or spent iirc 2000€ in train tickets in the last two years. In 1st class, you can even order food and drinks at your seat. Of course, first- and 2nd class passengers can always bring their own food and drinks on board the train. The DB lounges usually serve free food and drinks, sometimes including alcoholic beverages, which can help sweeten the voyage even more. Guaranteed Seat Reservations
Storage spaces are generally located in second class carriages. You can also reserve a seat on request. The seat and the storage space will generally be in the same carriage. In certain cases, however, the storage space and the seat may be in two different carriages. Each passenger can only take one bicycle. Orthopaedic aids:
Exceptionally high demand expected. The train will be very full on certain sections of its route. Many passengers will be forced to stand. For this reason, you can no longer buy tickets or reserve seats. Unless you have already bought a ticket for this train, we recommend using a different connection.
Get to know our train fleet: With our modern high-speed trains and regional trains, you can travel in a relaxed and sustainable manner. Benefit from many services related to rail travel, such as WLAN in the ICE.
